Microsoft’s search engine now displays carousel of New York Times best-selling books when searching for specific book genres.
Bing is courting book-lovers everywhere with its new search update, a carousel displaying the latest best-sellers.
If someone searches for a best-selling book in a specific genre, Bing now displays a carousel of the New York Times top ranking books for that specific category. Bing says its new feature will work with the following search terms:
- “best-selling fiction”
- “nonfiction best-sellers”
- “best-selling kids’ books”
- “current times best business books”
The books displayed in the carousel are based on The New York Times weekly or monthly sales data. According to Bing, carousel content will be updated as best-seller titles change.
Clicking on a book cover image in the carousel serves up detailed information on the book, including book synopsis, links where you can buy the book and ratings.
