GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity Arrives at HUAWEI Opéra Flagship Store in Paris

On that day, HUAWEI hosted the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity at its Flagship Store Opéra in Paris. Led by two talented illustrators, Mayada and Kenza, the event highlighted the potential of digital art and the ease of accessing creativity through the GoPaint app, available on the Huawei MatePad series.

During this event, 30 participants explored digital art alongside illustrators Mayada and Kenza. After an introduction to drawing techniques and using the GoPaint app on the HUAWEI MatePad series, participants were able to create their own works of art, guided by the artists. Each participant left with a unique souvenir – their personalised drawing printed on a tote bag – an original way to preserve this creative experience. The event also provided the opportunity to try out the latest HUAWEI MatePad tablets and explore the features of the GoPaint app, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the world of digital creation. Interactions with the artists allowed participants to learn new techniques and deepen their understanding of digital art.

Launched globally on all GoPaint tablets, GoPaint is a powerful and intuitive digital painting app that offers over 150 preset brushes and over 80 brush settings. It provides an immersive experience with expressive brush strokes that perfectly mimic the effect of a pencil on paper. Among the many features on offer are innovative brushes such as “splatter” and “fluid” brushes, which allow for limitless creativity. “Splatter” brushes, for example, create ink splashes by hovering the pen about 12 mm from the screen and tapping it twice, adding a playful and interactive dimension to the artwork. The app also offers a range of realistic textures, mimicking paper, gold silk, rice paper and stone, providing an authentic sense of creation as if you were drawing on real paper. Finally, thanks to the FangTian 2.0 painting engine, users enjoy 8K ultra-wide canvases , multiple high-resolution layers, and a high speed of 120 fps.

GoPaint aims to unleash the artist within each of us by allowing anyone to create digital artwork using a variety of canvases and brushes, whether ink, oil paint or watercolor.

Throughout the event, each participant had the opportunity to try out the GoPaint app on Huawei’s latest tablets, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 and HUAWEI MatePad 12X, both equipped with the PaperMatte display. This display technology, developed by Huawei, recreates the feeling of working and enjoying content as naturally as on paper, offering a fluid and authentic creation experience.
